Firearm Sales & Transfers
All firearm purchases must be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder of your choice. It is your responsibility to:
- Confirm with your chosen FFL that they will accept the transfer.
- Verify that your FFL is active and operating at the provided address.
- Understand any additional transfer fees your FFL may charge.
If your FFL refuses the transfer or is unavailable at the time of delivery, additional shipping charges may apply for reshipment. If you change your FFL details after your order has shipped, any extra shipping fees incurred will be charged to you.
Before taking possession of your firearm, you must pass a National Instant Criminal Background Check at the FFL location. Once the transfer is complete, all firearm sales are final, and returns are not accepted.
Firearm Shipping & Delivery
- Handguns must be shipped via UPS Second-Day Air in compliance with carrier regulations.
- Long guns may incur an additional shipping surcharge depending on size and destination.
General Shipping & Delivery Policy
Orders for non-firearm products are shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. While we strive to honor the shipping method selected at checkout, we reserve the right to adjust shipping carriers or methods as needed without prior notice.
Once an order is handed over to the carrier, Arms Ahoy is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments. Customers assume full responsibility for their orders once the carrier takes possession.
Some shipments, particularly those containing hazardous materials, may require a signature upon delivery and could incur additional hazardous material surcharges.
Shipping Insurance
For added protection, shipping insurance is available at checkout. This coverage safeguards your order against loss, damage, or theft during transit.
- Customers can opt-in or decline shipping insurance during checkout.
- If insurance is declined, Arms Ahoy is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments.
- To file a claim, email armsahoy@gmail.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
Claims are subject to review, and purchasing shipping insurance does not guarantee reimbursement. If a claim is approved, the customer may receive:
- A refund to the original payment method (excluding taxes, shipping fees, and insurance costs).
- Store credit for the value of the affected items.
- A replacement shipment at Arms Ahoy’s discretion.
Shipping insurance claims must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. Delayed responses (over 5 days) to claim inquiries may result in case closure.
Exclusions from shipping insurance coverage include:
- Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses.
- Orders marked “Return to Sender.”
- Missing items in packages without signs of tampering.
- Orders that have not yet been marked as shipped.
- Custom or special-order items.
- Damaged packaging where the product remains usable.
